Directions to Bald Mountain Camping Resort
PLEASE NOTE: Be careful when using driving directions provided by GPS or mapping programs as they don’t know that you are driving an RV and may send you on narrow mountain roads.
From Blairsville, GA:
Take US 76 East through the city of Hiawassee (MAKE CERTAIN YOU GO THROUGH HIAWASSEE). On the east side of town you will see Route 288 on the right. (You will see ROUTE 288 before you get to Hiawassee but do NOT take this road.) Turn right on the 2nd Route 288 and make the first (immediate) left onto Fodder Creek Road. Follow Fodder Creek Road 3-1/2 miles, turn left onto Gander Gap Road. The check-in is at the office on the left by the pond.
From Clayton, GA:
Take US 76 West 30 miles to Route 288 (before you get into Hiawassee); make a left on Route 288 Immediately turn left onto Fodder Creek Road. Follow Fodder Creek Road 3-1/2 miles, turn left onto Gander Gap Road. The check-in is at the office on the left by the pond.Note there is a Dollar General on Route 288 at the turn to Fodder Creek Road. Google maps will route you through the back way on 288 from the west.
